1. Using Tagalong

Tagalong is a game that turns your real-world step count into the wellbeing of a virtual pet. By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please delete the app.

You must be 13 or older to use Tagalong. If you are under 16 in the EEA or UK, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.

2. Your account

You can start playing without an account. Creating one lets you sync pets across devices, join leagues and add friends. Keep your login details to yourself — you are responsible for activity on your account.

We may suspend accounts that cheat step counts, harass other players, or abuse league and friend features.

3. Steps and fitness data

Step data is read from Apple Health or Google Fit only after you grant permission, and only for the days you are playing. Counts are estimates provided by your device and may differ from other apps or hardware.

Tagalong is entertainment, not a medical or fitness-tracking service. Nothing in the app is health advice. Talk to a professional before starting or changing an exercise routine.

4. Gems, chests and purchases

Gems, chests, cosmetics and pet unlocks are a limited licence to use in-game content — they have no cash value and cannot be exchanged, sold or refunded outside the store rules of Apple or Google.

Optional purchases are billed by the app store you bought from. Subscriptions renew until cancelled in your store account settings.

5. Content and conduct

Pet names, nicknames and messages you create must not be offensive, impersonate someone, or contain personal information about others. We can remove content that breaks this rule.

The app, its artwork, pets and code belong to Tagalong Labs. You may screenshot and share your pet freely; you may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app.

6. Changes and ending use

We add pets, worlds and features regularly, and occasionally retire ones that do not work. If a change materially reduces something you paid for, we will say so in the release notes.

You can stop using Tagalong at any time by deleting the app or your account. We may end your access if you break these terms.

7. Liability

Tagalong is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect losses, lost streaks, lost gems, or injury arising from physical activity you choose to do.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer.
